Timeline
Protecting the Stone:
For beginners, covering the stone with blue tack is suggested for protection \[00:35].
However, with more confidence, this may not be necessary \[00:45].
Preparing the Wire:
A recess is cut into the claw, and a flattened wire is fitted flush onto it \[01:43].
Attaching the Claw:
Using the lowest power setting, the wire is attached to the existing claw
[02:04].
The power is adjusted as needed to achieve a smooth melt \[02:52].
Shaping the Claw:
The claw is turned down, and work is done on the sides [03:27].
A blade is used as a guard [04:31].
Removing Excess Claw:
Pliers and a saw frame are used to remove the old claw [05:06].
The new claw is then pushed down [05:23].
Finishing Touches: The claw is rounded off and shaped to match the others [06:48].
A laser is used to address any recesses, with infill added for strength [05:53].
Final Result:
Once polished, the replaced claw should be indistinguishable from the others [07:35].
