    Timeline
First, ensure the ring is as flush as possible for a better and quicker job [00:32]
Start with the lowest power setting on the laser [00:49].
Fire a shot on the body of the ring, away from the joint, until you get action [00:57].
Increase the power in small increments [01:20].
Shoot the laser aside the joint [01:27].
Jump the gold into the joint [01:34].
Turn the ring over and repeat the process [01:43].
One shot inside the joint should suffice but if you can do more for added strength [01:55].
Gold is ideal for laser work due to its lower conductivity compared to silver [01:55].
While platinum requires significant heat, it also works well with lasers.
Tips and tricks
Fire next to the join - To achieve a strong and effective join, aim the laser just next to the joint rather than directly on it. This helps the metal flow over the seam, creating a better bond. Firing directly on the joint may not provide the desired fusion and could weaken the connection.
